By Denise Brennan-Nelson and illustrated by Michael Glenn Monroe (Sleeping Bear Press)
Buzzy is a bumblebee who loves to fly and also loves to read. Perched atop a flower, Buzzy reads that bumblebees are not meant to fly and he is immediately saddened by this. With the sadness comes self doubt and Buzzy doesn't believe he can fly anymore. Faced with not being able to fly, Buzzy struggles to walk home and encounters obstacles he'd never felt before. It is only upon arriving home that his parents remind him that he has always been able to fly, because he has always belived in himself. The lesson in the story is that you should never doubt your abilities and beliefs.
A sweet book with important moral ideas and beautiful illustrations.

This is the perfect book to start the Book Buzz! journey. As the foundations of the book are concreted in beliveing in yourself, I too, needed to believe in Book Buzz! and my passion for children's books. I had to believe in my abilities to share my love of books with the children of the World.
Thank you Buzzy The Bumblee for helping lift my heart and my confidence to truly appreciate that passion.
