By Juliette MacIver and Illustrated by Sarah Davis (Scholastic New Zealand)
Marmaduke Duck made a delicious marmalade jam out of grapefruit, only many other animals were a - quiver for a taste of the jam. Farmer Palmers llama caught a wiff of the jam and couldn't resist eating the whole lot. This was much to Marmadukes horror and to recify the problem, farmer Palmer called for a mighty fine feast, where Marmaduke Duck and the llama made jam, marmalade jam.
This book has amazing rhyming cadence and that makes is a wonderful book to read, as much as it is always recevied with delight by the children who hear it. It is a lot of fun, with many different animals introduced to the scene and a wonderfu moral at the end

Publisher recommended age range 6-8 (though we believe younger readers will also enjoy the book)
I can not say it enough, just how much I love this book! The joy it brings me to read and the joy it brings to the children to hear it, is magical.
This book is suited for any age range, but mostly around 2 - 5 years. In saying that though, children as old as eight, still enjoy hearing it's sweeping flow of words, the cadence is melodic and children find themselves lost in the rhythm and flow of the words. The silly nature and the gorges illustrations, are just another part of what makes this book as special as it is.
Be sure to hear it, or better still, buy it for your own collection.
